Cortijo La Hoya

“We stayed at Cortijo La Hoya for three nights during the off-season in December. The location and garden are absolutely stunning. The garden and pool overlooking the sea and the Moroccan mountains blew us away. It felt like a small piece of paradise and would love to return some day, we can only imagine what it would look like in the spring/summer. The cottages are very comfortable and perfect for two people (we stayed in Casa Luna). Rafa is a gracious host that went above and beyond to make our stay even more comfortable and enjoyable. We would 10/10 recommend anyone to stay here!”

“What an incredible and tranquil space the family has created here, our hosts Rafa and Carla were like family to us. We stayed several peaceful days in the Tramontana villa and were in love with its styling and thoughtful touches, warm lighting, decor, and both its outdoor and rooftop patios. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need and the beds were comfortable (a very important touch). The grounds have a wonderful pool with stunning views and many places around the property to sit and take a coffee. A Jeep or small SUV, while not required, will give you better access to explore all the roads and beaches through the area. The nearby city of Tarifa is full of wondering streets, cafes, and shopping and the stunning beaches of Playa Bolonia / Los Lances are worth a visit. An hours drive north to Vejer puts you in a picturesque white hilltop castle village worth exploring! We can not wait to return.”

“Such a delightful visit. We stayed in one of the two cottages by the main house. The property is large, beautifully landscaped with a hillside infinity pool and several quaint sitting areas from which you can take in the breathtaking views of Morocco and the Straight of Gibraltar. The cottage is airy, clean, charming and the bed is very comfortable. We cooked most of our dinners there after wing foiling for the day in Tarifa. The outdoor gas grill was a treat and the kitchen had everything we needed. The hosts are delightful, warm and accommodating. Oh, there are also three cute, gentle dogs - I’d come back just for them. We were blown away by the entire experience.”
